Hi, I'm Efen
I’m a UX & Product Designer who blends motion thinking, user empathy, and systems clarity - designing for both beauty and function.
My Journey
I started my creative path in 3D animation at Tongji University (Top 10 University in China) in Shanghai, where I led my class as monitor and actively pursued freelance projects - from 3D modeling to motion graphics and commercial editing. Those years trained my self-discipline, learning ability, and technical range.

After graduation, I joined Huawei as a UX Designer. Over 4 years, I worked across HarmonyOS devices, contributed to key motion systems, mentored new hires, and earned multiple internal awards and promotions. I also contributed to Red Dot and iF Design-winning projects. But I felt ready for more - I wanted to learn more about the full UX process, not just one part.
So I came to Canada to pursue my Master’s at the Centre for Digital Media (Simon Fraser University). Here, I’ve led multiple client projects as both a UX designer and a PM/PO, working on healthcare and OS experience tools. These projects helped me deepen my UX thinking, practice inclusive design, and better understand local client cultures. I truly enjoy turning user insights into meaningful solutions.

Design Philosophy

I believe the best ideas come from real people, not assumptions. I’m driven by asking why, exploring how, and building what if. I’m also a heavy AI user - I talk to AI daily to boost my design workflows, from writing to exploration.
Outside Work
I love hiking through BC’s stunning landscapes and exploring new cities whenever I travel. I also enjoy learning languages - I’ve reached B1 in French and hope to keep going! In my downtime, I like casual games too - have you tried Zip, Queen’s, or Tango on LinkedIn? Come challenge me!

let’s stay in touch!
